Bridges to Resilience 2019
ChildStrive welcomed more than 400 guests at our 2019 Bridges to Resilience Luncheon. The event offered an expanded event, featuring a Community Networking Hour, our classic seated Lunch and Program, and extended panel discussion on leadership and Restorative Practices.
At the luncheon, leadership author and change expert, Barbara Kellerman inspired us with a keynote message on the professionalization of leadership, how groups are changing leaders and creating change. Kellerman is the James MacGregor Burns Lecturer in Public Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School and the founding Executive Director of Harvard’s Center for Public Leadership.
Stay tuned for our 2020 Bridges to Resilience Luncheon, date to be announced soon!
Advocacy Day 2019
A group of ChildStrive staff and their children were able to meet with 13 different legislators from several legislative districts as well as Assistant Secretary of State Sheri Nelson Wednesday. We talked about increasing ECEAP availability, universal home visiting and more! Thank you to each and every person who met with us, took the time to learn more about ChildStrive and really looked at how we can work together towards a common goal of high quality early learning for all.
Next year, we hope to take an even bigger group down to Olympia and hope you will join us!
