Parents as Teachers is a relationship-based in-home parenting support for families who are living with trauma or chronic hardships. ChildStrive Educators partner with parents to play, reflect, and connect with community resources in order to support their child’s healthy development and school readiness.
Parenting can be difficult in the best of circumstances, but when you’re facing other struggles as a family it can be overwhelming! ChildStrive focuses on the parent-child relationship to build vital attachments, strengthen families and encourage all members of the family to reach their full potential.
ChildStrive comes to you! Parents as Teachers takes place in the child’s natural learning environment, capitalizing on the strengths of the parent(s) and caregivers. We recognize that parents are their child’s most important teacher, and Parents as Teacher Educators visits about twice a month with activities and information that emphasize parent-child interaction, development-centered parenting, and family well-being.
Parents as Teachers works with families who are parenting a child up to age three in Snohomish County. If you are interested in participating in Parents as Teachers, or referring a family you know, contact us at 425.245.8377 or complete our intake form here.
