You make the difference! Volunteers are a crucial part of how ChildStrive supports families in our community. We welcome groups, individuals, companies, and families to join us.
ChildStrive’s commitment to diversity and equity is central to our work, and volunteers are our partners in this work.
ChildStrive serves families and children of many races and ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identifies, ability and religious beliefs. We seek volunteers who reflect that diversity. We know that everyone is at a different place in their learning about dismantling the systems of white supremacy and other forms of oppression, but our expiation is that all volunteers bring a personal commitment to continued learning and action.
Whether you’re interested in putting together kits to support new moms, help keep the family store organized, or catalogue our donated books, there is something for every member of your family!

Large groups provide a unique opportunity to dig into big projects, whether that is helping to polish up the playground, weed the preschool gardens and clean the campus, or a project designed specifically to the interests of your groups.
We have an array of administrative, graphic design, or data organization tasks that can be done from anywhere!
We maintain a small family store of basic necessities for small children, some developmentally appropriate toys and activities, and books. With the support of ChildStrive staff, the Family Store Manager would take on the management of this store, helping to keep it organized, facilitate family access and keep track of the highest needs.
The Product Donation Drives Manager, in partnership with ChildStrive staff, will manage support community in-kind drives to stock the Family Store, provide a merry holiday, and otherwise support the needs of the vulnerable families we serve.
Our Board of Directors directly support the mission of ChildStrive through offering strategic direction and oversight, fundraising support, and community partnership development. Board membership is a unique opportunity to make an immense impact, and we welcome anyone interested to contact us to explore the opportunity more. Learn more here.
Help build support for ChildStrive using your social networks. Through simple tasks on social media, you can amplify our mission to build successful futures for children and families. Minimum Age: 18 Time Commitment: 5-10 minutes per week, for at least six months.
